  NEW FOR 2008

First Nations Coastal Experience
In conjunction with Talaysay Tours, a native owned and operated tourism company, we will host Kayak and Canoe tours to our resort. The tours will usually originate in Sechelt under supervision of qualified native guides. Talaysay owner, Candace Campo is a Sechelt First Nations member who is an anthropologist and trained to ensure a fun, safe and culturally enriched water and land experience.

In addition to the paddling, we plan to introduce special evening programs at the resort, based on local First Nations culture and history presented by native Elders.

Bike and Fish Experience

We are fortunate we are able to access many miles of abandoned logging trails which provide the opportunity to visit and explore a vast area of remote forests, streams and lakes.

Unfortunately much of the terrain is hilly and makes for tough biking to favorite destinations. For bikers who prefer flat terrain we plan to bypass the hills with some boat travel. The most preferred destination is a trail which follows the Tzoonie River for approximately 20 kms to Tzoonie Lake. This trail begins at the mouth of the River, at the head of Narrows Inlet, which we will access by boat thereby eliminating 16 kms of mostly rugged trail from Resort to end of Inlet.

In addition to the incredible scenery of river and mountains along the route, there are a number of great trout fishing holes. Wildlife viewing and photography opportunities are almost certain and include bear, mountain goats, elk and deer.

The plan is to load bikes and up to eight guests on boat early in AM for drop-off at river and return for pickup early evening.

If you are planning to fish you must have freshwater licence and gear (casting or fly). It would be preferable to bring your own bike, however they are available for rent in Sechelt.

Cost: $180.00 plus GST ( to be shared by participants)

Cost covers return boat transportation from resort to head of Inlet (approx 32 kms). Rate applies only to guests and includes bikes.

Argo tours and safaris

New for 2008, we are introducing guided remote backcountry tours by amphibious vehicle ( ARGO) from our camp to several destinations along the many kilometers of abandonned and deactivated logging trails accessible from our site. The vehicle is capable of carrying up to 4 passengers.

These eco-friendly tours will be of interest to anyone wishing to experience the authentic West Coast environment which includes wildlife, bird and plant-life flourishing after a century of logging and reforestation. See and photograph spectacular alpine views and wildlife including bear, elk, deer, and ocasionally cougar, with stops along the way to feast on wild berries in season, or perhaps some river, ocean or lake trout fishing.

Cost: Special introductory rates will be available this year depending on preferred destinations and time involved.

Note: If you are not a guest of Tzoonie Outdoor Adventures, we can arrange water taxi transportation from Sechelt (Porpoise Bay) at an approximate cost of $140 return for water taxi.
