TripAdvisor 5 Star Reviews for Tzoonie Wilderness Camp

“The location is incredible with options for picking seafood, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, hiking.. and the list goes on… I will say the only downside was we DIDN’T want to leave LOL. I have told many about Tzoonie and plan to be back in the future. Everyone should go and experience nature at its best!!”

“I only got a chance to visit Tzoonie for a day trip, but what I saw and experienced will bring me back again and again. The setting is amazing and there is so much to do if you love the outdoors.”

“We went to Tzoonie as a group of three families and it became one of our best trips!! Wilderness and adventure everyday. We enjoyed fishing the amazing blue fish, the white headed eagles flying in the sky, canoeing in the fjord, and more. The team is caring and helpful and nicely rough as you expect in a remote location. We enjoyed the accommodation and really recommend to anybody who loves nature.”

“What a wonderful 4 days spent at this beautiful spot, I really did not want to leave. The peace and tranquility is something I don’t find very often and I appreciated every minute of it. Art, Aleta and Good Golly Miss Molly are perfect hosts. And Fraser, appreciated your guiding, oyster harvesting skills and the beatiful trip there and back even if the other boat beat us! I will be back for sure to enjoy the nature and the peace and the quiet of being totally technology free.”

“We stayed for a weekend and wish we stayed much longer. This place is AMAZING!!! It’s location is close to the town but feels so far away. The hosts are wonderful people and their dog Molly is a real gem! We had unlimited oysters that we picked from the shore! I can’t explain how awesome this place is. You’ll have to see for yourself!!! Thank you again so much for an amazing time!!”

Tzoonie Narrows: a special wilderness spot by the sea

What a weekend it was. By day, hiking took us about a kilometre uphill through classic west-coast rainforest of mossy cedars, magnificient firs, creek beds . . .and plenty of bear scat.  At dusk, we dined on delectable grilled sockeye salmon and fresh oysters garnished with sea asparagus. At night, we watched the flickers and dance of light in the sea: the neon array of bioluminescence.
